This is not a champagne cup but a computer-generated data-dependency graph of a program's binary (the nodes correspond to Assembly instructions). The fact that this turns out to have an esthetic impact is purely accidental but not necessarily absurd, since the existence of a functional purpose in an object often impacts strongly on an observer even when he/she cannot grasp its rational aspects.

In the case of computer art, this implies the existence of two categories: art crafted by humans equipped with computers, and art produced unwittingly by the computers themselves.
